Step 1: Tell us what happened
Answer three questions: what happened to your claim, whether your business is the Importer of Record, and roughly how much IEEPA duty is in question. It takes about a minute. A team member follows up, usually within one business day.
Step 2: We review your records
We walk you through pulling your own reports from ACE. You keep your login. We then reconcile, entry by entry:
- IEEPA duties paid
- Refunds received, with dates and interest
- Each entry's status and the CAPE phase that covers it
- Any rejection messages, protests, or decisions
Step 3: You get a written plan
Each problem is sorted into one of three paths:
- Fix it yourself. Clean technical rejections that you or your existing broker can correct and resubmit. Importers can file directly with CBP at no cost.
- Licensed customs broker. Filings that must be prepared by a licensed broker, such as corrections and protests. Use your own, or we introduce one.
- Law firm. Contested denials, denied protests, finally liquidated entries, and anything headed to court. With your permission we hand off your file and you consult with the attorneys directly.
If we cannot help, we tell you.
What it costs
Nothing. We do not charge for the review or the plan. Any broker or law firm you choose to hire sets its own fees in its own written agreement with you.
General information, not legal advice. Tariff refund rules and court rulings are changing. Deadlines depend on your own entries. Confirm your options with a licensed customs broker or attorney. TariffClarity is not a law firm or customs broker.
