What we publish
Plain-English information for importers about IEEPA tariff refunds: what CBP has announced, what courts have ruled, and what deadlines generally apply. We do not publish legal or customs advice, and nothing on this site tells a specific importer what to do with its entries.
How we source facts
We rank sources in this order and use the highest available:
- Primary government sources: statutes, regulations, the Federal Register, executive orders, CBP CSMS messages and guidance, and court opinions and orders.
- Analysis by law firms and licensed customs brokers that cite primary sources.
- Established trade and business publications.
Every guide, news item, industry page, and country page lists its sources at the bottom. When sources conflict, we use the most recent primary source and say that a conflict exists. When we cannot verify a claim, we leave it out.
Dates
- Each article shows when it was published and last updated. News items also show the date of the event.
- Pages with time-sensitive facts carry a "last reviewed" stamp. We review dated facts before each major CBP or court milestone.
Original writing
Our summaries are written in our own words. We do not copy text from sources, and any quotation is short and attributed.
