From a liquidation date

From a protest denial date

How the dates are counted

  • 80 days after liquidation: CAPE Phases 1 and 2 cover unliquidated entries and entries within 80 days of liquidation. See how CAPE works.
  • 180 days after liquidation: the general deadline to file a protest (19 U.S.C. 1514). Without a protest, liquidation becomes final. See how protests work.
  • 180 days after a protest denial: the general deadline to sue in the Court of International Trade (28 U.S.C. 2636(a)).

The calculator adds calendar days. It does not adjust for weekends, federal holidays, extensions, suspensions, or court orders, and it does not cover the separate two-year period for claims under 28 U.S.C. 1581(i), where sources disagree on when the clock starts. See the two-year deadline guide.
