Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of tariffclarity.com and the review service offered through it by TariffClarity is a trade name of EasyOIC, LLC, a California limited liability company ("TariffClarity," "we," "us"). By using the site or submitting a request, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy.

1. What we do

TariffClarity offers a free review for U.S. importers whose IEEPA tariff refund claims were denied, reduced, or excluded. We help you gather your own records, reconcile duties paid against refunds received, and prepare a plain-English plan that identifies which issues you can address yourself, which may need a licensed customs broker, and which may need an attorney. If we cannot help, we will tell you. We do not charge you for our review or plan.

2. What we are not

  • We are not a law firm and do not provide legal advice. No attorney-client relationship is created by using our site or service.
  • We are not a licensed customs broker. We do not prepare, sign, or file CAPE declarations, entry corrections, protests, or any other documents with U.S. Customs and Border Protection on your behalf.
  • We are not affiliated with U.S. Customs and Border Protection, the U.S. Department of the Treasury, or any government agency.
  • We never receive or handle your refund. Refunds are paid by the government to the Importer of Record.

Importers of Record may file refund claims and protests directly with CBP at no cost.

3. Your responsibilities, including deadlines

You remain responsible for your own filings and deadlines. Any general deadline information we provide is for education only and may not apply to your entries. Protest, court, and other deadlines can expire, and missing one can end a claim. Confirm your specific deadlines with a licensed customs broker or attorney, and do not delay acting while you wait for our review. You agree to give us accurate information and to share only records you are authorized to share.

4. Who may use the service

The service is for businesses located in the United States. You must be at least 18 years old and authorized to act for the business you identify.

5. Introductions to brokers and law firms

At your request, we may introduce you to a licensed customs broker or law firm. Those professionals are independent of us. They decide whether to take your matter, they set their own fees in their own written agreements with you, and they alone are responsible for their services. You are never required to use a professional we introduce, and you may use your own. Before any introduction, we will tell you whether we receive any compensation in connection with it.

6. No guarantee

We do not guarantee that any refund will be recovered, the amount of any recovery, or how long any process will take. Outcomes depend on the facts of each claim, on government decisions, and on court rulings that are still developing.

7. Communications

By clicking the submit button on our form, you ask us to contact you about your request and agree that we may contact you at the phone number and email you provided, including by calls and text messages made with automated technology. Consent is not required to use our service; you may call us instead. You can revoke consent at any time by any reasonable means, including replying STOP to a text, telling us on a call, using the unsubscribe link in an email, or using our opt-out page. We will honor your request as soon as practicable and no later than 10 business days.

8. SMS Terms

  • Program: TariffClarity Review Updates, operated by EasyOIC, LLC.
  • What you will receive: messages about your review request, such as scheduling, document reminders, and status updates.
  • Frequency: message frequency varies based on your request.
  • Cost: Msg & data rates may apply. We do not charge for messages.
  • Opt out: reply STOP to any message to cancel. You will receive one confirmation message and no further texts unless you opt in again.
  • Help: reply HELP for help, or contact us at support@tariffclarity.com or (888) 216-4944.
  • Consent: consent to receive texts is not a condition of using our service.
  • Carriers: mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
  • Privacy: see our Privacy Policy. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.

9. Using the site

Do not misuse the site: do not submit false information or information about a business you are not authorized to represent, attempt to access systems without permission, interfere with the site's operation, or use automated tools to submit forms. Site content is owned by EasyOIC, LLC and may not be copied for commercial use without permission.

10. Disclaimers

The site and service are provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. Information on the site is general and may change as laws, CBP procedures, and court decisions change.

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, EasyOIC, LLC will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any lost refunds, lost profits, or missed deadlines, arising from your use of the site or service. Because our service is free, our total liability for any claim relating to the site or service will not exceed one hundred U.S. dollars ($100). Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of these may not apply to you.

12. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify EasyOIC, LLC against claims arising from information you provide that you were not authorized to share, or from your violation of these Terms.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of laws rules. Any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Los Angeles County, California, and you consent to their jurisdiction.

14. Changes

We may update these Terms by posting a new version with a new effective date. Continued use of the site after that date means you accept the updated Terms.
