Privacy Policy

The short version. We collect the information you give us so we can review your tariff refund situation and contact you about it. We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your mobile number or text messaging consent with anyone for their marketing. We pass your information to a customs broker or law firm only when you ask us to. You can opt out of calls, texts, emails, and ad tracking at any time on our opt-out page.

1. Who we are

TariffClarity is a trade name of EasyOIC, LLC, a California limited liability company ("TariffClarity," "we," "us"). Our address is 21550 Oxnard St, 3rd Floor, Woodland Hills, CA 91367. This policy covers tariffclarity.com and the calls, texts, and emails we send about requests made through it.

TariffClarity is not a law firm, not a licensed customs broker, and not a government agency.

2. Information we collect

Information you give us

  • Contact details: name, company name, business email, and phone number.
  • Your answers about your refund claim: what happened, whether your business is the Importer of Record, and the approximate amount involved.
  • Information you share on calls or by email, including documents and entry records you choose to send us.
  • Your consent choices and opt-out requests.

Please do not send us your ACE login, bank account numbers, or Social Security number. We never need them.

Information collected automatically

  • Device and usage data: IP address, browser type, device type, pages viewed, referring website, and the date and time of your visit.
  • Advertising click identifiers, such as those added to links from Facebook, Instagram, or Google ads, and campaign tags (UTM parameters).
  • Cookies and pixels: we use the Meta Pixel, Google Analytics, and Google Ads tags to measure which ads lead to requests and to show relevant ads. See section 5.
  • Call tracking: when you arrive from a Google ad, our phone number may be shown as a Google forwarding number so we can tell which ads lead to calls. Google may record call details such as the time, duration, and your area code.
  • Consent records: when you submit our form, we record the exact consent wording you agreed to, the time, your IP address, and your browser. We may use a third-party service (such as ActiveProspect TrustedForm) to certify this record.

3. How we use your information

  • To review your refund situation, contact you about your request, and prepare your plan.
  • To introduce you to a licensed customs broker or law firm, but only when you ask us to.
  • To send you calls, texts, and emails about your review, in line with the choices you made.
  • To measure and improve our advertising and website.
  • To prevent fraud and spam, secure our systems, keep records of consent and opt-outs, and comply with law.

4. How we share your information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as follows:

Text messaging. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties.

5. Cookies, pixels, and ad tracking

Our advertising partners may use cookies and pixels to collect information about your visits to our site and other sites, to measure ad results and show you ads. Under some state privacy laws, this may be considered "sharing" personal information for "targeted advertising." You can opt out in any of these ways:

  • Use the tracking option on our opt-out page, which turns off our advertising tags in your browser.
  • Turn on Global Privacy Control (GPC) in your browser. We treat a GPC signal as an opt-out, and our advertising tags will not load.
  • Change your ad settings with Meta and Google, or block cookies in your browser.

6. Your communication choices

  • Texts: reply STOP to any message. Reply HELP for help.
  • Email: use the unsubscribe link in any email.
  • Calls: tell us on the call, call us at (888) 216-4944, or use our opt-out page.

We honor opt-out requests made by any reasonable means as soon as practicable and no later than 10 business days.

7. Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to know what personal information we hold about you, get a copy of it, correct it, delete it, and opt out of targeted advertising or "sharing." We honor these requests from all users, wherever they live, subject to verification and legal exceptions. To make a request, email privacy@tariffclarity.com or use our opt-out page. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request to access, correct, or delete information. You may use an authorized agent, and we may ask for proof of the agent's authority. We will not treat you differently for exercising your rights. If we deny your request, you may appeal by replying to our decision, and we will respond to your appeal in writing.

8. How long we keep information

We keep review request information for as long as needed to provide our service and for up to three years after our last contact with you, unless a longer period is required by law. We keep consent and opt-out records for at least five years so that we can document and continue to honor your choices.

9. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards, including encrypted connections, to protect your information. No system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Children

Our service is for businesses and is not directed to anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

11. Other websites

Our site may link to other websites, including government websites and the websites of professionals. Their privacy practices are their own.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. We will post the new version here with a new effective date. If we make a material change to how we use information we already hold, we will ask for your consent where the law requires it.
