CBP opened Phase 2 of CAPE on June 29, 2026.
- It covers entry types 01, 02, and 06 that are flagged for reconciliation, where the type 09 reconciliation entry has not been filed.
- The entries must be unliquidated or within 80 days of liquidation, the same line as Phase 1.
- Supply Chain Dive reported the expansion at about $28.7 billion in reconciliation entries.
What this means for importers
Importers that use reconciliation and were turned away in Phase 1 may now be able to file. Foreign trade zone entries (type 06) come in only if flagged for reconciliation.
