In a July 2, 2026 message, CBP changed how CAPE handles warehouse entries.
- From July 7, 2026, declarations listing entry types 21 or 22 receive the error "ENTRY TYPE NOT ALLOWED."
- Warehouse withdrawals (types 31, 32, 34, and 38) are accepted and refunded when the underlying warehouse entry is liquidated or reliquidated.
- Importers that listed type 21 or 22 entries between April 20 and July 6, 2026 must file a new declaration listing the withdrawals.
What this means for importers
If you import through bonded warehouses, check whether your declarations listed the warehouse entries instead of the withdrawals. See excluded entry types.
