In a message sent February 22, 2026, CBP announced it would stop collecting IEEPA duties at 12:00 a.m. Eastern on February 24, 2026, and deactivate the related tariff numbers in ACE. An executive order signed February 20, 2026 terminated the IEEPA tariff actions.
- The change covered the duties on Canada, Mexico, China, Brazil, India, and the reciprocal tariff.
- A separate 10 percent Section 122 surcharge began the same day.
What this means for importers
Entries on or after February 24, 2026 did not pay IEEPA duties. Duties paid before then may be refundable.
